Intelligent detection continues

At the start of 2021 Bybadet in Ålesund, Norway was opened to the public. Pool safety is a top priority at the facility and SwimEye was chosen to aid in preventing drowning accidents. SwimEye is now monitoring four separate pools at Bybadet. We really feel that SwimEye can give that additional layer of security. We look forward to working with them for years to come and make Bybadet secure for pool guests.

Pool staff can view the system directly from one place or bring a handheld device with them inside the facility.

Their reasons for acquiring a drowning detection system were:

  1. Safety first
  2. Lifeguards are the most important, but SwimEye is a great tool to add even more to the safety of their pool guests.
  3. To get a complete overview of their facility including underwater, where cameras are not usually placed.
  4. Make it easier for the lifeguards to act and prevent an accident before it takes place.

Rigorous testing has shown increased detection capability and precise alerts to pool staff when potential drowning situations arise. SwimEye is now able to simulate human thinking and critically assess situations in real time. Those are two critical components in effective drowning detection.
